Right. Well, I'm happy to announce that the You've Got Red On You film project with the local chapter of the Boys and Girls Club was completed on time and able to be premiered at the fundraising luncheon. Of course, in order to meet the deadline, I had to work several 14-16 hour days in a row to get the movie all edited and put together. Still in the end, it got a great response from everyone - especially the kids. That makes it all worth while.
With that project behind me, it's back to writing. In my last post, I mentioned that Shattered Halo was being re-released by the title Die Anne, and I briefly discussed the reasoning behind that. Well since then, an edition has been finalized and it's set to hit store shelves nationwide as early as next month. For those of you who want an advanced copy, get over to Gardner's Books in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on August 25th from noon to three. Oddly enough, the merchandise (shirts, hoodies, and mugs) for Die Anne is already available. Just click the "Shop Now" link on the homepage.
As for my current novel project Human Wreckage, I couldn't be happier with the way it's developing. For those of you that's been following this, you know that I've gone back and have rewritten the opening chapters quite a few times - something that's completely out of the ordinary for me, but it has seems to have paid off. I could elaborate at this point, but I'll leave that for another time.
There has been some question as to when I'll write the next installment of After America. The short answer is, I don't know when I'll get to it. At this point in time, it's a subject matter I'd rather avoid.
Short stories... I've been putting a lot of thought recently about putting together a collection of shorts. Perhaps after Human Wreckage, I'll take a break from novels and work on that for awhile. I might even work with a couple of other writers for a change. Just a thought.
